As to what “Art” is exactly, is difficult to say…let’s just say that, for me at least, the creative process itself is part of its justification and purpose.
My works, therefore, are an attempt to interpret, and come to terms with, the function and role of the human form as a vessel that simultaneously both contains and expressed the essence of one’s experience. I instinctively turn to narratives embedded in music, words and literature as starting points in my attempts to explore the connection between the mind’s interpretation of experience and the body’s response in creating a culture that reflects, constrains and contains it.
