I have neither rules nor methods and usually work until a moment of truth arrives, when the look of the arbitrary vanishes, and the paint falls into predestined emotional positions. Basic human emotions instinct.
The fact that people find my painting not easily deciphered forces them to stop, reflect and look deeper and in turn reflect on their reality The work explores the relationship between order and chance, deliberate and unpremeditated. With many classic and contemporary influences new tensions are distilled from both opaque and transparent gestural paint narratives.
